CQ Investment Group is bucking the market trend by recording growing assets under management (AuM): since December 2019, before the start of the Corona pandemic, AuM's have grown from 6.7 billion euros to currently around 8.2 billion euros. The war in Ukraine triggered a brief downturn, but this has now been more than compensated for and the signs are pointing to further growth.
The reasons for this positive development include three innovative new investment strategies that can hold their own even in a turbulent market environment and are therefore enjoying high demand:
ACP Credit I, which invests primarily in senior secured loans for SMEs in Central Europe, mainly for corporate acquisitions and buyouts, had its first closing in July at a mark of 100 million euros in capital commitments. Anchor investors include the European Investment Fund (EIF). C-QUADRAT is offering the fund in partnership with private debt specialist ACP, in which CQ Investment Group holds a stake.
The Quantic Receivables Fund of CQ Investment Group´s subsidiary Quantic Financial Solutions focuses on providing short-term liquidity to companies (factoring, contract finance and supply chain finance) in EU, EEA and EFTA member states, Singapore, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
The I-AM Global Macro Convexity Fund of Impact Asset Management GmbH, another subsidiary of CQ Investment Group, focuses its investment strategy on convex payoff profiles. The product was launched at the beginning of May 2022 with over 70 million euros in seed capital from international investors (mainly insurance companies).
CQ Investment Group´s founder and CEO Alexander Schütz said, "I am very pleased about the dynamic development of our company. In fact, these are the highest assets under management in the company's history, if one disregards a short-term special fund launched on behalf of a customer in 2017. This is a testament to the quality of our investment strategies even in difficult times and the trust our clients place in us."
CQ Investment Group is a group of asset management companies with a strong focus on quantitative strategies as well as ESG and impact investing. Additional business areas are Private Debt and Alternative Investments. The CQ Investment Group is also building a track record in the pension fund industry. Founded in Vienna in 1991, CQ Investment Group is active in 21 different countries. For 31 years now, the investment products of the companies of the CQ Investment Group have been among the best in their respective investment categories and have received numerous awards.
